Connect: Integration with various resources and systems

With Connect, you can extend the functionality of the core components even further with a number of possible integrations, including our network of linguists, machine translation (MT) engines, another Translation Management System, as well as other enterprise systems and apps via connectors.

In fact, thanks to new connectors, the SDL MultiTrans 2017 version can be integrated with a larger number of third-party systems, allowing requesters to easily submit projects in the SDL MultiTrans TMS via their own content-management system. Available connectors include AEM (6.0 and 6.1), Stibo, Documentum, eDocs, SharePoint, and WordPress, among others.

Take the SharePoint connector, for example: With this new connector, you can send your translation projects to the SDL MultiTrans TMS directly from SharePoint. The connector installs directly into your SharePoint, and your users will see a convenient console through which they can send both documents and websites directly to the SDL MultiTrans TMS.

After the projects are completed in the Translation Management System, SharePoint retrieves those translations and checks them into the correct locations automatically. The flow of content between the content owners, project managers and linguists is done quickly, with minimal effort and a high level of security. And your users never need to open the SDL MultiTrans software—although with all these updates, they may still want to!
